CreatorName Dean William Leslie Christie
AdminHistory Dean Christie was born in 1858, the son of the Reverend William Christie, the incumbent of Fochabers and Dean of Moray. He was educated at Aberdeen University and Edinburgh Theological College, being ordained in 1881. Following curacies at Leith, and Hornsey, London, he became the incumbent of Stonehaven in 1890, where he remained until his death in 1931. He was examining chaplain to the Bishop of Brechin 1904-1916, and was synod clerk 1909-1917. In 1917 he became Dean of Brechin.
